It's been a while since my last post here. Many things happened during the last year and I actually did not get the time to take care of the website. Social Medias are becoming the "way to go" and in a way unfortunately so.. But here I am again.. and hopefully soon you'll be able to see a brand new (well.. at least restyled) website.
I thought that there could not be a better time to start posting again. Starting on the 4th of May 2019 there will be an exhibition at the "Chiostro di San Francesco" in the city of Treviso (TV) showing some of my work together with sculptures from Luciano Longo and poetry from Lucio Carraro, two incredible Artists that were kind enough to involve me in the project.
During the last few months we spent quite a bit of time in this amazing place and so after talking to Christian and Gloria, proud Owners of this "Haflinger" Farm and Western Riding school, we decided it was worth putting into film. We wanted to give an idea in a short, 4 minute clip, of what they do and also where and we hope we achieved that.
Last week I was called by a friend of mine (Sergio Grillo). He was asking me to go shoot for a day or two in Porto Marghera. Little I knew of the amazing, industrial settings. This is Venice from a really different perspective indeed. Huge boats, even bigger cranes, and amazingly long trains (up to more than half a kilometer ! ). It was for the shooting of a couple of scenes that will appear in a short documentary called "From Rails to Sea" produced by ERF and executed by latestuggine.it La Testuggine is an animation studio set up by Arturo Leone, Lorenzo Latrofa and Marta Palazzo. They met during their studies in “Architecture” and attending the “Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia” (Animation Department). The Documentary is directed by Lorenzo Latrofa with director of Photography, Sergio Grillo.
Early in May this year I had the pleasure of meeting Claudio and Barbara D'Altoè. Two incredible people with a very strong energy and huge positivity. They are also two of the organisers and creators of what I could easily say Is one of the most interesting and diverse yearly appointments of the entire Belluno province. The PAMALI Festival.
We spent nearly two weeks in the company of the Staff and the people that makes of the PAMALI Project a concrete reality based on a model that, nowadays, has been well tested and tried by world renowned and hugely popular Festivals such as the Nevada "Burning Man", or Tankwa Karoo Park "Afrika Burn" and many others.
This gem of entertainment this year took place (for the second time actually) at Passo San Boldo (northern Italy). A great artistic mix of excellent level with Music Bands of National and International character, Painters, sculptors, Dancers and generally pure Creative FUN!
Even if our presence was not finalized at taking photos of the event, I could not resist in making at least a few and so, below you will find a selection of shots that will tell you a little about the "before", "during" and "After" the Festival as 2Picture has seen it.
We just put online a new website dedicated to the "Comiotto Family" at large. It is supposed to be a community site where everyone with the surname can join and share stories, photos and comments. Feel free to take a look although there is still a lot of work I hope everyone will enjoy it and help to build it.
